Meet John C. Mueller, MD, FACOG

John C. Mueller, MD, FACOG, of Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates, S.C., in Peoria, Illinois, graduated with a B.S. in professional studies from The University of Notre Dame. Dr. Mueller graduated magna cum laude, was a Phi Beta Kappa and was named a Notre Dame Scholar. After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Illinois Medical School, he completed his residency training at both St. Louis University and OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Dr. Mueller also did elective training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

Dr. Mueller served as the president of the medical staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center as well as the chairman of the credentials committee, quality assurance committee, and the executive committee. Dr. Mueller has twice been the vice chairman of the department of obstetrics at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He has also served as the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Proctor Hospital.

Dr. Mueller was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989 and is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiner. A fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Illinois State Medical Society, Dr. Mueller is also a clinical associate professor of the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he was chairman of the alumni council. Active in teaching resident physicians and medical students for over 20 years, Dr. Mueller received the Outstanding Teaching Award and House Staff Angel Award at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Dr. Mueller is on staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Methodist Medical Center, Proctor Hospital, and the Peoria Day Surgery Center.

Dr. Mueller and his wife, Cynthia, have three daughters and live in Dunlap, Illinois.
